Work Integrated Learning (WIL) provides students with meaningful opportunities to apply their academic knowledge to practical experiences in the workplace. WIL also supports industry partners by providing direct access to bright, creative, hard-working students that will build your talent pipeline.
Western’s WIL programs are flexible and offered in over 45 academic programs. This means you’ll benefit from students with a wide variety of industry-specific and transferable skills, including communication, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership.
Western offers WIL opportunities in three main formats:
- Internship
- Co-op
- Practicum
