The hirewesternu Job Fair is another exciting opportunity to recruit at Western University. Companies who recruit at this Fair are seeking to fill new graduate, summer, internship/co-op and part-time roles. You can educate Western students and alumni about your industry, promote the roles you offer, and explain what it takes to be successful within your organization.

Our Job Fair attracts students from over 200 programs in 12 different faculties, with an approximate attendance of 1500 – 2000...making this one of the best ways to connect with Western's Extraordinary Talent!

The Student Success Centre at Western University reserves the right to prohibit an employer from participating in any of its events based on an employer's failure to comply with the law, and complaints, behaviors or actions contrary to the guidelines listed in this document, and for any other reason at the reasonable discretion of The Student Success Centre.

Please carefully review the policies below for recruiting at the Career Fair or Job Fair:

1. Your organization will be promoting current or upcoming *paid employment opportunities within your company, such as:

- Full-time employment (35+ hours/week)
- Part-time employment (<35 hours/week)
- Summer Employment (May 1st - August 31st)
- Work Integrated Learning opportunities, such as: Internship, Co-op, Practicum

2. Should an organization be promoting Work Integrated Learning opportunities, (e.g. internship, co-op and/or practicum) The Student Success Centre reserves the right to request to review the opportunity, in advance of attendance

An internal committee assesses whether the offering is applicable to the Western student body as a whole, as well as other organizational and community outcome factors. Should the offering be deemed ineligible, The Student Success Centre will notify the organization, and reserves the right to cancel an organization's registration, or mandate that the organization only promote opportunities eligible for promotion at the fair.

3. An organization will **not promote products or a service

The focus of a participating organization will be to recruit Western students for employment opportunities, not to promote products or services offered.

*Promoting unpaid or volunteer opportunities at the Career Fair or Job Fair is not permitted. Please contact Dave Cano on the Experiential Learning Team to discuss any unpaid or volunteer opportunities available within your organization: dcanotin@uwo.ca

**All vendors must abide by the University Policy on Advertising and Commercial Activity, 1.12 when on-campus. A reasonable amount of items with organization branding (i.e. swag) is permitted at an organization's booth at the fair location. This can include pens, sticky notes and other small items for distribution to students during conversations regarding employment opportunities.
